The BeSTAR New Generation Engineer Development Program , launched by Boğaziçi Electricity Distribution Inc. (BEDAŞ) in 2020 and recognized as a leading program in the industry, has bid farewell to its new graduates. Twenty-five young engineering candidates who successfully completed the program, which began in February and is designed for university students studying electrical, electrical-electronics, industrial, and energy systems engineering, received their graduation certificates at a ceremony.

BEDAŞ General Manager Murat Yiğit
Presenting certificates to all graduates , BEDAŞ General Manager Murat Yiğit stated that this program, which contributes to both technical development and professional preparation for young people, has now become a corporate culture and wished the participants success. Yiğit stated, “The BeSTAR Program is not merely an internship; it's a multifaceted development journey where young engineering candidates can demonstrate their potential, gain real-world work experience, and establish direct contact with the industry. It's invaluable for us to see these distinguished young people, who come from Turkey's leading universities, mature through field experience, develop projects with creative ideas, and passionately embrace this experience. I believe that every participant in this program will have a say in the future transformation of the energy sector. I wholeheartedly congratulate all of our graduates and wish them bright and bright paths.”
AFTER THEIR INTERNSHIP, MANY OF THEM WORK AT BEDAŞDuring the program, BeSTAR young engineering candidates gained field experience in technical units within BEDAŞ three days a week. At the end of the term, they presented their individual projects. The projects, which combined the knowledge they acquired during their internships with original ideas, were meticulously scrutinized by the evaluation jury. Following the evaluation, four projects were awarded.
BEDAŞ, which brings together its programs for students studying electrical, electrical and electronics, and industrial and energy systems engineering at universities under the umbrella of the "BeSTAR New Generation Engineer Development Program," is further strengthening its team with BeSTAR engineers. Selected from hundreds of candidates, the students go on to serve in critical positions within the company following their internships at BEDAŞ.
The BeSTAR Program receives hundreds of applications each year. This year, over 1,000 candidates applied, successfully completing a multi-stage selection and placement process.
Following interviews, debates, and technical competency assessments, 25 participants were selected for the program. The BeSTAR Program, which has become the first stop for young engineering candidates seeking to shape the future of the industry, is enthusiastically followed by both students and the industry every semester.
